Æon
Trinity
GENERAL STRUCTURE
Central Headquarters
Æon's main headquarters remains in Chicago, the city where
the organization began back in 1923. Originally, the Æon
Society for Gentlemen was housed in a charming four story brownstone
on the city's North Side, a few block off Lake Michigan and a
quick rapid transit ride from Wrigley Field. Over the years,
like the organization itself, Æeon's headquarters have
expanded outward, downward, and skyward.
The Trinity's central complex,
devoted to Neptune, now covers a significant portion of the arcological
sector known as the Chicago Cube. This facility has a commanding
view of Lake Michigan and enjoys a private landing pad on the
sector roof. The interior is decorated what amounts to a history
lesson. The first few floors follow 1920s styles. Each higher
level shifts the style ahead another decade - Art Deco and America
Craftsman, Art Nouveau, Wright's early style, Le Corbussier's
flat designs, Post - Modern, New millennium. The top floor, dedicated
to Neptune senior management, are influenced by natural and cultural
styles found everywhere that Æon operates - faux
vistas of ocean bottom volcanic labyrinths, African organic patterns,
elaborate geometry emulation crystal habitats among Saturn's
rings. Large arcology sectors dominate Chicago's lakefront and
environs, but the Chicago Cube is a distinctive cultural center
by virtue of Æon's presence.
The original brownstone, renovated
countless times, is presently used as the local Chicago chapter
house.
When the old Æon Society
founded a separate research division, it bought properties adjacent
to the University of Chicago. Although the entire are as severely
damaged during the Aberrant War, the surviving facilities became
the nucleus of the modern Triton Division headquarters.
Neptune and Triton Divisions
are linked to Chicago's public transit system. People going from
one division to another never have to wait more than 10 minutes
- usually only five minutes during normal business hours - to
arrive at their destinations.
Regional Offices
Trinity maintains
nine regional offices. These sites are charged with keeping an
eye on the surrounding area - often a sizable geographic region
- and give operatives access to a full range of equipment, manpower,
and intelligence.
Æon's Chicago
HQ doubles as the regional office for North America; the other
regional offices are presently located in Melbourne, New Delhi,
Barcelona, Nairobi, Beijing, Vladivostok, Sao Paulo and Olympus.
Each regional office monitors all Æon activities within
its jurisdiction, which generally covers a continent - wide territory.
Officially, a a Neptune assistant director head the office, although
in practice the Triton and Proteus assistant directors on staff
are treated as equals. Main responsibility involve
